Biological Activity：Ancremonam (LYS-228) is a low toxicity, potent and single-agent monobactam antibiotic targeting penicillin binding protein 3 with potent activity against Enterobacteriaceae. Ancremonam kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis through covalent modification of the active-site serine of penicillin binding protein 3[2][3].
